Seeking IT Strategy and Transformation Advisor
Our IT Strategy and Transformation Advisor is a true Swiss Army Knife and strategic agent of change. The ideal candidate is a strategically minded, technically competent problem solver and information synthesizer who writes and speaks extremely well. In this position, you will serve as a strategic advisor to the CIO and CTO of a federal agency undergoing a full-scope transformation spanning people, governance, and technology. You will take a defined strategy, operationalize it in collaboration with agency leadership, and help create the capability to tangibly measure success over time. You will support the development of strategic communications that keep the customer base and workforce apprised of transformation activities and wins. To be successful, you must be capable of working at an enterprise or program level to drive and manage strategic change in the long term; but remain technical and detail-oriented enough to develop feasible, actionable plans at local levels in the short-term. Further, to develop trust and establish credibility, your recommendations and proposed solutions must withstand the scrutiny of experienced technical leadership. Your biggest challenge will be keeping the larger strategy and transformation on track while balancing operational priorities in the day-to-day. Implicit in this challenge is inculcating a new organizational culture that doesn’t relapse into the same old bad habits but instead embraces a newer and better way of doing business. This position requires a B.S. degree in a technical discipline, at least 8 years of relevant experience, and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance. If this sounds like you and you’d like to learn more, please send your resume, two professional references, and two professional writing samples that are wholly your own work to email@example.com.
